Sphagnum Moss can be used as a lining for hanging baskets and or as a moisture-bed when mounting orchids onto the side of Bark Slabs.
Two varieties of Sphagnum Moss are commonly available: Chilean or New Zealand. New Zealand Sphagnum Moss is considered to be the premium product, thus is usually sold at a higher price, whereas Chilean Sphagnum Moss, is still very good quality, but the price is often less, creating popularity amongst a great number of orchid growers.
